1957 Nylint Missile Launcher Restoration- It Actually Works!

Welcome back to the channel! In this restoration video, I take on a vintage Nylint Missile Launcher that I pieced together from two separate eBay purchases. I bought the front and rear sections individually and combined them to create a complete set. I also picked up an original 1957 advertisement flyer featuring this toy, which makes for a great piece of history to accompany the restoration. The restoration began with a complete disassembly of the launcher. After sandblasting the metal parts, there was extensive rust damage and pitting that required significant repair work. To fill the damaged areas, I used JB Weld because it can withstand the high temperatures required during the powder-coating process. Once the repairs were complete, I powder coated the parts to give the toy a durable finish. The original tires were in pretty good condition and only needed a thorough cleaning and polishing.
