Privacy Policy

Last updated: 20 September 2026

In short

  • You don't need an account to use the site.
  • Statistics are only collected with your consent, and they are anonymous.
  • Payments are handled by Stripe: we never see your card details.
  • You can delete your account, and everything tied to it, whenever you like.
  • We do not sell your data. Ever.

What stays in your browser

Kept in your browser's local storage, not in an account. You can clear it at any time in your browser's settings.

Videos already seen
The ids of the last 200 videos you watched, and how many you have watched in all. The list is sent with each roll only so we don't repeat videos; we do not store it on our servers.
Preferences
The languages and era you picked, whether to roll on its own when a video ends, and your streak of days in a row.
Cookie choice
The answer you gave to the cookie notice.
Voting id
A random id, created in your browser, that goes with each vote so the same browser cannot vote twice on the same video, and the list of videos you already voted on. The id is not derived from anything about you: not your address, not your device's characteristics.

What we keep on our servers

Without an account
Your votes, with the browser's random id. Reports about videos, with no identification at all. Usage counters added up per day, for example how many videos were rolled in each category, with no identifier, and so with no need for consent.
With an account
The email, name and profile picture Google gives us when you sign in, and the technical identifiers of that link. Your history, your favourites, your votes and the reports you make. If you subscribe, the custom themes you created.
Subscription
The Stripe customer and subscription ids, the plan, the state and the dates. Never card details, which only Stripe sees.
Contact messages
If you write to us through the form, we keep the message, the topic and the email, if you give one, only to reply to you.
Rate limits
To stop abuse we count requests per IP address for a few minutes, in memory. That count is not written to disk or tied to you.

Cookies and the YouTube player

Session
An essential cookie keeps you signed in.
Language
A cookie remembers the language you picked.
YouTube player
Videos play through YouTube's embedded player, which may set cookies and collect data as described in Google's privacy policy. Google's Privacy Policy
Statistics (PostHog)
Only if you accept all cookies. We count usage anonymously, for example how many videos get rolled and which categories are popular, without building profiles of people, on servers in the European Union.
Statistics (Google Analytics)
Only if you accept all cookies, and with advertising and personalisation signals switched off.

If you choose “Essential only” in the cookie notice, no statistics tool is loaded.

Who handles data for us, and where

We do not sell or hand data to anyone. These companies handle it on our behalf, so the site can work:

The database is hosted in the United States, so your account data leaves the European Economic Area.

Why we handle this data

So the service works
The account, history, favourites, themes and subscription exist because you asked for them: without them those features cannot work.
With your consent
Statistics and advertising cookies. You can change your mind at any time, further down this page.
To keep the site healthy
Votes, reports and rate limits keep the ranking fair and stop abuse.

For how long

Your account and what is tied to it
Until you delete the account.
Contact messages
Until they are dealt with; then we delete them.
Usage counters
No limit: there is nothing in them that identifies anyone.
Votes and reports without an account
No limit. Votes carry only the browser's random id, and reports carry no identification at all.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct, delete or receive a copy of your data, and object to its processing. Write to us through the contact page.

Deleting your account is done on the account page, without asking anyone: it cancels the subscription, if there is one, and deletes your history, favourites, votes, themes and sessions. Reports you made stay, but stop being tied to you.

If you think we mishandled your data, you can complain to your country's data protection authority. In Portugal that is the CNPD.

When we change what we collect or who we work with, we update this page and the date at the top.
