The one thing every parent gets wrong about baby babbling

Trying to help baby learn to babble? Here’s how to do it. Make sure you are down on their level, face-to-face. First, imitate baby’s sounds. You want to get some back-and-forth turntaking going, so you may stay at this stage for a little while. Then model simple syllables, like dadada, mamama, or bababa. Model once, then pause for what will seem like too long! If baby imitates you, imitate them right back again and keep it going! If not, you may have to back up to imitating what baby says before you model syllables again.
