Staff from the Reeds Rains Lettings Centre in Cheadle discuss how they deal with the end of lease, check out and inventories. When a landlord uses the lettings service of Reeds Rains, they can be sure that the checkout process will be fully managed. First, Reeds Rains asks to receive the notice from the tenant in writing. Next, we action the notice and send out confirmation letters to the tenant and landlord. Then we book a checkout inspection with an independent third party - Vibrant. Once they have conducted the checkout inspection, Vibrant supply Reeds Rains with a factual checkout report describing the condition of the property, accompanied with supporting photographs. It is Reeds Rains' job to compare the checkout to the original inventory - supplied at the beginning of the tenancy - and check for any discrepancies.
