It is based on the poem, 'Black Boots'. The poem written in the backdrop of the 1962 Indo- China war talks about the angst of an individual who discerns militarization and war. For the poet, 'Black Boots' symbolizes excessive militarization. The geographical context of the poem is the Northeastern part of India which has been under the shadow of guns for decades and is also a close witness to the Indo- China war.
