In this episode...The Hero makes his way to Knothole Glade to protect it's residents from the White Balverine. Along the way, The Hero is ambushed by a group of bandits in Witchwood Stones, visits the Temple of Avo, and fails his first attempt to pull a legendary sword, The Harbinger, owned by Huw the Giant from a strong. After arriving in Knothole Glade, The Hero slays the White Balverine using a silver augmented crossbow. Upon returning to Knothole Glade, the village chief rewards The Hero by granting him a nomination to The Arena and also by giving him a letter from his sister Theresa who tells The Hero of his special bloodline.
