Hongcun: The Ancient Village Behind Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon

Used as background for "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon" and other movies, Hongcun is a standout. Quick-flowing streams wind through the village, art students congregate around South Lake trying to capture Hogcun's beauty, and tourists flow in and out of ancient schools, 180-year old houses and shops selling the most fabulous wood carving remnants I've ever seen.
