Christians are not sinless, but they should sin less.

The cross of Jesus transcends time. When Jesus justified you; you died to sin. That’s not experience/feeling; it’s fact. You might not feel dead to sin, but the fact is, you are dead to sin. That doesn’t mean you never commit/desire sin. He didn’t say sin died to you, you died to sin. In other words, it no longer controls/dominates you. It's like running into a lion in the bush. You’re dead meat. It'll dominate you, toy with you, destroy you. But, a lion in the cage at a zoo is different. It’s gets your blood going a bit but, as long as it’s behind bars, you’re safe. It can growl/roar but it can’t harm you unless you do something stupid like go in the cage. Like the lion, sin dominates/toys with you BC.
