Toyota Prius - Life Cycle Analysis

The Legislator2:022009Film & Animation

Short film on life cycle of Toyota Prius. It is arguable if Land Rover and Hummer are greener than Prius. But it remains a fact that the 30+ pound nickel battery in Prius is one dirty piece of metal. All I want to say is that you shouldn't just buy a Prius because they tell you it's Green. Small, fuel efficient cars are much better for environment than current hybrids. Step 9 is getting Rid of the Battery. The reason is that these batteries are not disposable and recycling them is also very polluting. On top of that, I doubt that in countries where there are few regulations on environment would actually recycle the batteries.
