Backpacking Franklin Lake - Mineral King, Sequoia NP

Fishing derby among four friends that was held last August 11-14 in Mineral king - Franklin Lakes. This was located beneath the towering peaks and ridges of the Great Western Divide. With an elevation gain of 2,698 ft, you will reach the lake in about 6 miles of moderate-strenuous hike and get to see the spectacular views around it. We all used pen fishing rod from penfishingrod.com and pen fishing reels and lures catching some good Brook fish. Alan bagged the title as champion with 101 fish caught and released using his backpacker's edition of pen rod.
