Esquimalt Lagoon Extreme Low Tide: Great BC Beaches #shorts

In June of 2004, there was a 30-year low tide. We wandered off to Esquimalt Lagoon (Victoria BC, near Fort Rodd Hill) to see how the beach would look. It's a great beach any time, but the extreme low tide made for quite a bit of nice sandy beach to walk on. Quite a few people were walking around the beach, amazed at how the beach looked. There were quite a few very large clam shells on the lower parts of the beach. You can see the Fort Rodd Hill Lighthouse in the pan around. This is a great area for kayaking. There's the lagoon, the open ocean, and the reversing tide flow at the entrance to the lagoon. #beach #ocean
