Brynn's Savage Gulf Backpacking Adventure. Her first time backpacking!

Our 8-year-old granddaughter Brynn, has been begging to go backpacking with us for months. So, we finally decided to introduce her to the wonderful world of backpacking. My son-in-law was up for it also, so we made a father/daughter and Grandpa/granddaughter adventure! Savage Gulf State Park in Tennessee is the perfect place for her first backpacking trip! So many trails and campgrounds to choose from! We decided to go to Savage Falls campground because it was only 1 1/2 miles to the camp and is right by the beautiful Savage Falls. The hike has swinging bridges and pristine water along the way. The weather was nice, and it cooled down at night, perfect for sitting around the fire. We have several more grands we want to take on backpacking adventures in the future. Brynn was a joy to be with and I hope we share many more adventures together.
