Sim Card Removal Pixilation Stop Motion Animation (2016) #shorts is the 4K square format version of my early experimental stop motion short that I made. It blends pixilation and object animation to create a surreal, visual take on removing a SIM card from an iPhone 6. This was inspired by the great stop motion animator PES. Shot frame by frame with my Canon EOS Rebel T5 before I had to sell it, this quirky short film mixes DIY creativity, crude yet imaginative stop motion techniques, and playful stock sound effects from iMovie, Final Cut Pro, and freesound.org. This was one of my first explorations into pixilation. Fans of pixilation, PES-style shorts, surreal stop motion, and creative experimental animation will enjoy this bite-sized piece of indie animation history.
