Pilot REACTS to DCS World | Experts React
Gamology13:212021
U.S Navy pilot, David Gregor is back to talk about something a little more realistic with DCS (Digital Combat Simulator World). He's here to tell us all the ways it isn't like Top Gun or Ace Combat with a few insights into what it's like being a fighter pilot along the way. DCS World acts as a unified platform supporting "modules" (made by either Eagle Dynamics or a third party) to avoid large numbers of individual game releases. This allows for users to join multiplayer servers without needing to purchase every vehicle available, or to more quickly switch aircraft, and allows all development to be done on a single platform. The modularity of the game also attracts talented third-party developers to develop for the platform, furthering its content and popularity. DCS World is widely known as a "study sim" - players must take care to learn how to operate the aircraft just as a real pilot would. The gameplay is highly variable based upon what aircraft and location the player chooses.
