Traveling the cityscapes of Edo Japan 400 years ago | Japan Travel Vlog | Sawara, Chiba Prefecture

Subtitles are available in English and Japanese. On June 24, 2022, my wife and I traveled to Sawara, Chiba Prefecture. Sawara is a town that still retains its 400-year-old streetscape and is designated as an important preservation area. However, the high temperature that day was over 30 degrees Celsius, making it difficult to stroll around. Therefore, we rented bicycles and went to Katori Jingu Shrine in the neighboring town. Katori Jingu Shrine is dedicated to the god of war. A short walk from there is a coffee shop that has been in business for about 120 years. The dinner we had back in Sawara soaked into our tired bodies.
