Video of the Oarfish, Regalecus glesne, on 5 August 15 2011 "On 15 August 2011, an ROV operated by Mako Technologies working for Hornbeck Offshore Services was conducting seafloor and water column biotic surveys as part of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill NRDA. The ROV was being recovered to the vessel when a single R. glesne was observed at 1136 hours at a depth of 62 m. The ROV manoeuvered towards the R. glesne where it maintained video observation of the individual for c. 10min, while recording standard definition (SD), high definition (HD: 1920 × 1080i) and digital still camera (12 MP) images.
