Produced by public television station KTWU (Topeka, KS) in 2001, this video presents an abridged version of a documentary entitled "Evolution, Education & Ecology: Spotlight on Kansas." Following controversial decisions made by the Kansas State Board of Education in regard to science education standards, this program was intended to shed light on what transpired and to explore the basic tenets of evolutionary theory. Among those who appear in the documentary are Eugenie Scott, director of the National Center for Science Education; Phillip Johnson, emeritus professor of law at UC, Berkeley; Paul Ehrlich, Stanford biologist; and primatologist Jane Goodall as well as Steve Abrams, a member of the state board of education and a number of Kansas educators.
