Moomba Birdman Rally 2017 BAWCS represented

HUGE and we mean HUGE shout out to Stef Walter , a long time volunteer of BAWCS who chose to support and promote BAWCS in the Moomba Birdman Rally today. 6 months of work went into making her amazing 'Bird of Paradise' wings, set to propel her off the platform at the Yarra River. Only 15 entries were chosen to participate in this annual event that is part of the Moomba Festival each year and we were so delighted to hear that Stef made it through thanks to the amazing support of family, friends and of course BAWCS! It was a truly amazing day with $2,359.92 raised by Stef's supporters, thank you one and all. Funds raised will go to support the care of so many animals that come into our Shelter's care every single day, including those that are in crisis situations such as domestic violence. We would also like to thank @Sara Harnden another fantastic and dedicated BAWCS vollie, who took the amazing footage of this great event today.
