Strasbourg is amazing. Frugal travelling means that you are there really just to see and experience everything around you and in doing so, you gain a really different experience than people who visit a place, just to spend lots of money somewhere else. While we were in Strasbourg, France, we looked at the area outside of town and made a stop or two and then drove in to find a spot to park. When we came up from the underground parking garage, we found ourselves in one of the main areas of the old town, Gutenburg Platz, about one block from the Notre Dame Cathedral which we could see behind the buildings that encircle the main square. Everywhere around were old cobblestone streets, restaurants and cafe's with outdoor terraces and large umbrellas to shade the customers.
