2024-04-21 - Freedom Open - Task1 51km Complete - SLOW TV

Freedom Open Gemona - Task 1 - Goal A bit uncertain weather for this week but, at least, the competition started with a BANG! Very good gradient and very high cloudbase for Gemona area. We were limited by the incoming front but we still got a 51km task to play with exploring the whole valley. Some 5m/s climbs and equally significant sinks made the whole flight exciting. With conditions like that a small mistake can cost many minutes behind the folks that did not make the mistakes. Landed in goal with plenty time to pack before the rain came. Personally I have never been so high (~2600m) in Gemona area so it was a completely different view of the scenery! Fun!
