Baby deer rescue and release

When a doe abandoned her injured twin fawn in our yard near Yellowstone, we couldn't just watch. The tiny fawn couldn't keep up, her leg was hurt and her mother moved on without her. I don't believe in keeping wild animals as pets, but this little one needed help. We took her in, built her a leg brace from an oatmeal box, bottle-fed her every four hours, and our dog Mack became her unlikely guardian. Two weeks later, she was strong enough to go back to the wild, even though she wasn't ready to leave us. Her mother did come back and take her. The doe and both fawns stayed around through the summer and autumn. This video has been watched by over 51 million people, and that still amazes us.
