This webinar is focused on using this information as a tool for healing for survivors and for the education of victim service providers in advocacy, Law Enforcement, and Prosecution. Our goal is to help inform the public about the awareness, frequency and impact of tonic immobility, how it manifests itself, and why it is important we we help normalize this response to sexual violence. Presented by: Erica Staab-Absher is the Executive Director of HOPE Center and has worked to end Violence Against Women for 22 years on the local, Statewide and National levels. Britta Koenen is a senior at St. Olaf College studying biology and women’s and gender studies. Her senior project involved researching, writing, and creating educational programs focused on tonic immobility.
