Drink a Beer and Play a Game Present: Urban Champion Released in 1984, Urban Champion is the first 2D fighting game to come to the NES, in North America. This PvP fighting game pits two unnamed street brawlers against each other with a simple goal of knocking your opponent into an open manhole. Urban Champion game offers very little in the gameplay department, with the option of a low punch and a high punch attacks are very repetitive. Still this game has a charm to it that captures the NES spirit, and it would also introduce the environmental hazards that future game would emulate.
