In this episode...we join The Hero as a child growing up in the town of Oakvale. The Hero's father, Brom, reminds his son of his sister's Birthday. The Hero's father offers a gold coin for each good deed he does around the village. After exposing a cheating husband, supervising some barrels, standing up to a bully, and finding a young girl's lost teddy bear Rosie, the hero has enough coins to purchase a box of sweets for his sister Theresa. After giving his sister his gift, the pair begin to walk home, but are interrupted when a group of bandits sack and raze the village.
