Exigency A Saison Aged in Gin Barrels and Dry Hopped with Nelson

I picked up Exigency for $4.99 at Ross Beverage over in Lakewood. This is a collaboration beer between Pretentious Barrel House (RIP) and Derive brewing Company. Both breweries were located in the Columbus Ohio area, but Unfortunately Pretentious is no longer in operation. The beer poured out a hazy cloudy yellow with a loudly fizzing tiny white bubbled head. As soon as I popped the can I was treated with tropical fruit and gin scents. Upon bringing the glass to my nose i picked up big tropical fruit and piney, juniper gin scents. On the mouth the beer was effervescent and drying. the flavors were tropical fruit, that typical Saison horse blanket funk and on the back end i picked up juniper. No indication of the 7.2% alcohol.
