WCSC at USF Engineering Expo 2012

A great project by the Whitehatters Computer Security Club (WCSC, http://www.whitehatters.org) at the 2012 USF Engineering Expo. They used XBox Kinect for motion sensor, wrote an app using Microsoft's Kinect API to interface wirelessly to a Legos MindStorms NXT robot which had a wireless camera. The bot navigated a challenge board, while the person drove using VR goggles and making arm motions, even as the audience watched on the big screen. Large crowds flocked to this exhibit all during the Expo, and kids old and young seemed to love it. It should have won first prize for student groups, IMHO. Must have been that East German judge...
