Steins;Gate Time Travel Concepts Explained | Anime Science

Welcome to Anime Science, a new series where we breakdown interesting science fiction concepts in anime and see how accurate they are and how weird we can get with it. First we tackle the core premise behind the black hole theory of time travel which is used in Steins;Gate. In this episode I talk about spacetime, worldlines, time dilation, black holes, white holes, wormholes, and closed timelike curves (CTCs). We take these concepts and compare them with what we know about the time travel mechanics used in Steins;Gate. In part two, we'll talk about microwaves, cell phones, and televisions.
