Burning flour

In this video, I burn some flour using a 2L water bottle , straw and a lit candle on a hook. The water bottle's top was cut off and a small hole was made near the bottom, flour was put in the bottom. The straw was put through the hole and the lit candle was lowered into the bottle. I then blew through the straw and the cloud of flour caught fire. The large surface area of the flour cloud ( millions of little bits of flour as opposed to a lump of flour) makes ignition of the flour fairly easy to accomplish. For more information, see this http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dust_explosion There are other better containers you can do this in, it's just with a clear bottle, you can see the fire better Thank you for watching Other cool videos: Make hydrogen at home- www.youtube.com/watch?v=itWNCXar_rI A chemical garden- www.youtube.com/watch?v=4CPUyDVi8PQ An easy endothermic reaction- www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubvo5AKzltY
